Having braces can be quite daunting for children. Here at Evolution Orthodontics, we try to make the experience all the more personal and comforting for your little ones to ensure a positive treatment journey.
Treatment for children
To set your growing child’s smile up for success, it’s important to bring them for their first orthodontic consultation around the age of 7 years old. At this age, Andrew and Julia can catch potential orthodontic issues early on, and prevent them from becoming more serious.
Early intervention treatment
Early orthodontic treatment can help guide the growth of your child’s jaws to lesson - and in some cases prevent - the need for more extensive braces or aligner treatments in their teenage years.
We may not need to start treatment when your child is young, but we can monitor their growth and work closely with your child’s dentist to decide the necessity and timing of treatment.
Invisalign® First for growing smiles
One of our early interceptive treatment options is Invisalign® First treatment for children ages 7 to 10. This Invisalign® treatment is designed specifically to guide the growth of your child’s jaws to ensure that they have room for all their current and incoming teeth.
Invisalign® clear aligners are smooth and comfortable for children, and are removable, so they can continue to enjoy all their favourite foods and activities. What’s more, with the Dental Monitoring app, you can keep us updated on your child’s progress without needing to bring them in to our practice.
